Olive Esther Kuhn is a Philadelphia-based writer and organizer originally from Middletown, CT. A recent graduate from Bard College where they studied Creative Writing, Poetry and Spanish, their work has appeared in La Voz magazine, yst publications, Sui Generis, Bard Papers, and The Humanist magazine. They have published two chapbooks of poetry: A Bouquet of Roots (2017) by the Bard Student Reading Series, and Pink Telemachus (2019), a poetic and visual collaboration with the artist Olivia Caro. They have read poetry at The College Unions Poetry Slam International (CUPSI) as well as many other poetry venues in NY and PA. Olive writes and performs their music under the name Recluse Spider. They are an active member of the international organization Socialist Alternative. In their free time Olive enjoys to cook, dance, spend quality time with friends, karaoke, reality television, crossword puzzles, and time with their twenty-one pound cat Bug.
